Footprints

On New Year’s eve, I walked out to Tennessee Beach in the Marin Headlands area of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area with Julian, my nine year old. (Here are Julian and Nicky in their hiking outfits.)

Looking straight down on the beach, I held the shutter open for half a second to make the surf appear ethereal and like lace.
