This heroic (and somewhat bizarre) bronze sculpture of a lithesome lady holding onto a taloned eagle has recently been placed in Oakland’s Jack London Square.

I enjoy the fantasy that as I look up towards the eagle rider she comes to life…I will not pretend this is an entirely innocent fantasy!
