I have been photographing bees in my garden in the warm sunshine of mid-afternoon. Nikon D200 + 200mm macro lens + 36mm extension tube + Nikon R1 wireless macro flash ring/kit. A very impressive-looking rig, and hard to move quickly. Autofocus flat out fails on a busy bee!

It’s really tough to capture these bee dudes! Like hummingbirds, they just never stand still. It’s a challenge, and I’m going to keep at it!
